For years we’ve been offering our quality dance performance videos at just $23.00, plus tax and shipping.
The final cost is $29.50 for the first video and $25.00 for each additional copy. We strive to keep these
low prices when other companies are charging $40-$50 for a recital video. This offers a great savings to
your customers and, we hope, helps to eliminate illegal copying of video products amongst friends.
LIVE-MIX
We specialize in offering a two-camera, live-mixed package to give the best quality and control to your
final video product. By mixing live we can correct problems as they occur, such as lighting issues, audio
and duplicated shots. We also offer single camera coverage for smaller productions.
AUDIO
We also pay close attention to the audio quality. We’re happy to take a feed from the House system to give
you a clean, crisp sound. But, we also mix in an on-stage mic to capture tap sounds and audience applause.
This gives you a clean, but realistic final sound.
HOW WE SHOOT
Dance teachers and graduate students enjoy watching the choreography of their numbers, while the average parent just wants to see their child as often as possible. We blend both desires together to make everyone happy.
Our primary camera shoots close-up shots of groups of dancers. This can be anywhere from 3-6 dancers at a time, depending on the size of the group. We always shoot head-to-toe, never zooming in to the dancer.
Our secondary camera shoots the entire group, not the entire stage! This is important because as the group moves in and out, left and right, we pan and zoom with them. Why have a mobile/unmanned shot of the entire stage when a group of eight dancers just moved into a formation in the center of the stage. Our wide shot moves with them, but always shows a different angle than the primary camera. An unedited DVD of the choreography from the wide camera is available to teachers upon request, at no additional charge.
BACKSTAGE SHOTS
When time allows, we try to get shots of the dancers backstage and in dressing rooms before the show. The kids love to act like divas and smile for our cameras. It’s a great way to show the fun and chaos of getting ready for the performance. We pay close attention to covering all the dressing room areas, so that everyone gets a chance to be on the recital video. Usually a female is gathering these shots, but if not available, our male cameraman will request an escort to be certain that everyone is ready for him to enter the room.
